Matthew C. Eagan
Matthew Eagan is an associate who graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with honors in 2014. During law school, he argued a case before the Connecticut Appellate Court as part of the Criminal Appellate Clinic, was awarded the CALI Excellence Award in Constitutional Law, Advanced Constitutional Law, Negotiation, and Lawyering Process, and clerked at a top Connecticut appellate firm. Attorney Eagan is admitted to the Connecticut bar and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Prior to attending law school, Attorney Eagan worked as a journalist for fifteen years in papers throughout Connecticut. The bulk of that time, thirteen years, was spent at The Hartford Courant where he was the newspaper’s lead writer on UConn women’s basketball for two years, lead writer on UConn men’s basketball for four years, and the national college basketball writer for two years. He is currently on the board of directors of Community Partners in Action, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to building a better community by providing services that promote accountability, dignity, and restoration for people affected by the criminal justice system.
